DESCRIPTION

The Women in Music Festival is a celebration of women involved in all aspects of music, including composition, performance, teaching, scholarship, & administration.  The weeklong festival—usually scheduled during the last full week in March–includes noontime and evening concerts, a composer residency, master classes, lectures, and school presentations, and contributes in music to Women’s History Month.
All the events are FREE and open to the public.

MISSION

The Women in Music Festival promotes and presents the significant contributions of women in music to the Greater Rochester area and beyond, through performance, education, and advocacy.
