Meliora Weekend @ Eastman Opening Celebration
50th Reunion Medallion Ceremony
Friday, October 9
5:30 – 6:30 pm
Join in the opening celebration of the weekend which will feature a showcase of student performances in the Main Hall (now Lowry Hall) modeled after Eastman’s longstanding tradition of the annual Holiday Sing. While all reunion attendees are gathered, Eastman Dean Jamal Rossi will preside over the 50th Reunion ceremony, and will individually present each member of the Class of 1965 with a special medallion to commemorate this milestone.
This event will help to celebrate the lives, careers, and lifelong relationship Eastman alumni have with their alma mater.
Our 50th Reunion offers the opportunity for a very special 50th Reunion class gift. Now more than ever, scholarship support is critically needed to ensure Eastman remains competitive among its peers and can continue to attract and retain the most talented young musicians. Please help us celebrate this milestone by rallying support for the students who will follow in your educational paths at Eastman. Scholarship gifts will be recognized collectively as your 50th reunion class legacy at the Eastman School of Music.
We are eager to share a glimpse of what you have been doing since you left Eastman and have created a web list of alumni from the class of 1965. Each entry will include an alumnus’ yearbook photo, a current photo (if available) and a brief biography. New entries will be added to the listing each week leading up to Meliora Weekend @ Eastman 2015. We need your help to make the list as comprehensive as possible. Please send us a brief biography (approximately 50 words) and a current photograph, and we will add your entry to the web listing as quickly as possible.
