Who is Eligible?
Continuing students are able to re-register online. A student is considered ‘Continuing’ if they were enrolled in the previous semester. Continuing students are not permitted to register if there are any outstanding holds on the account (financial, etc.).
What courses are not available through UR Student?
Please submit the ECMS Registration Form instead of registering through UR Student for the following activities:
New lessons on a new instrument or with a new teacher
Early Childhood classes
If you are registering for summer camps/programs, please use the links from the program descriptions on the Summer Website.
Step 1: Log in to UR Student
You will need to use your username and password to log-in, and, if you are off campus, you will need to have set up Duo Authentication.

Step 2: Complete Annual Onboarding Tasks
Click the red number in your mailbox, located in the upper righthand corner of most screens.
Once you review each of the five brief tasks and click the blue “submit” button under each step, your account will be ready for registration. (Tasks include verifying contact information, signing a payment agreement, etc.)
Does your course require permission to register?
Click here for a list of ensembles that require instructor permission and directions for requesting permission.
If no permission is required (most courses), click “Academics” then “Find Course Sections” then select your course section and click “Register”

Important: You must click the white “REGISTER” button, not the blue “add to schedule” button!
Online re-registration will be open from May 1 through September 15, 2023.
Students will register for the full semester, and most registrations roll over for automatic spring registration (except for 9-week sessions or less, such as Early Childhood and Bridges courses).
If you have scheduled more or fewer than the standard full term of lessons with your teacher, you may register online and then send an email to the ECMS Registrar to request an adjustment to the number of lessons. (The standard term for Summer is 10 weeks and for Fall and Spring terms is 17 weeks each.)
Students under the age of 18 are required to have a parent complete this process.
Check if you have registered successfully: From the UR Student home screen, click on Academics, then choose View My Courses under Academic Records section listed in the quick links shown to the right of screen.
