Neylan Loffredo

Neylan Loffredo is a Dallas native music educator and operatic Soprano vocalist. She received her Bachelors in Choral Music Education from the University of Texas at Arlington with teaching certification EC-12 and studied voice with Dr. Jammieca D. Mott and piano with Octavio Guiterrez. Neylan is currently pursuing her Masters in Vocal Performance and Literature at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. She currently studies with Robert Swensen and is a newly appointed Voice Intern at the Eastman Community Music School.

Neylan spent time teaching and directing the music ministries children’s chorus at First Presbyterian of Arlington under mentorship of Laura Farnell. While directing she also maintained teaching as a private lesson instructor at the Dallas Music Academy in Downtown Dallas. Her students consisted of vocalists that would compete in local singing competitions in mariachi, classical, and musical theater. As well as prepping young singers audition for Solo and Ensemble and the Texas All-State Choir.

Additionally, Neylan has been involved in performing as a soloist with the Denton Symphony Orchestra in Dvorak’s Rusalka “Song to the Moon”. She has prepared the roles of the Countess in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Liu in Puccini’s Turnadot, and Micaela in Bizet’s Carmen. Neylan was also involved as a concert singer in the Fort Worth Chorale, Texas All-State Choir, and the Eastman-Rochester Chorus. She has been a guest artist singing as the Soprano soloist in Handel’s Chandos Anthems with the Brookhaven Choral Society. And has also fulfilled section leader positions in the Chancel Choir at First Presbyterian of Arlington and St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Dallas, TX. Neylan has also performed various musical theater roles such as The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and Phantom of the Opera.

Currently, Neylan resides in Rochester and plans to create more singing and instructing opportunities to maximize her passion of not just teaching but performing as well. Her philosophy practices a positive way to approach musical discipline from a technical and mental standpoint to reach a high standard of musicianship.
