Jiyoung Moon
Jiyoung Moon, a native of South Korea, started playing violin at the age of 10. She was awarded the third prize at CBS music competition in 2003, and she came to America when she was 19 years old. She studied violin performance with Keng-Yuen Tseng at Peabody Conservatory, completing her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees. Jiyoung has attended Aspen Music Festival and Texas Music Festival as an orchestra fellow. She played in Civic Orchestra of Chicago from 2015 to 2016, and she played in The Orchestra Now from 2016 to 2018. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Violin Performance and Literature at Eastman School of Music.
