Senior Leadership Committee

The Senior Leadership Committee (SLC) oversees the governance of ECMS. The SLC is charged with developing all manner of school policies, which are to be published in the Faculty Handbook. The SLC is charged with practicing transparency and equity in all policies and proceedings on behalf of the entire ECMS faculty.

Membership:

• ECMS Associate Dean
• ECMS Senior Instructors and Department Chairs
• ECMS Administrator, as needed

Meetings:

• Called by the Associate Dean
• Generally occur monthly throughout the academic year

Process:

• The SLC adopts an annual list of priority topics.
• SLC creates a time-line for action on priority topics
• Often, subcommittees will be asked to explore certain priority topics in depth, reporting back to the whole SLC, and collaborating on action plans.
• When appropriate, topics may be discussed with ECMS department chairs, other ECMS faculty members, and with ESM collegiate faculty members.
• Developed policy proposals will be presented to the full ECMS faculty for commentary and review, before being adopted in the Faculty Handbook.
