Clarinet Choir
Grades 7–12
Teacher: Marcy Bacon
Mondays, 4:35 – 5:25 p.m.
Room: MSH 304
Tuition B
In this course, we will develop clarinet technique and general musicianship through playing in a small like-instrument ensemble. Rehearsals will include developmental exercises for tone, articulation, technique, and audiation skills. Elements of chamber music performance, such as breath cues, intonation and blend will be addressed, and we will practice playing both with and without a conductor. You will need your clarinet; music and handouts will be provided. Participants should have at least three years of clarinet playing experience and the ability to play over the break of the instrument.
Permission required; email mbacon2@esm.rochester.edu.
