Alan Ringwood
Head of Cataloging and Public Services

Alan Ringwood leads and oversees the Cataloging Department of the Sibley Music Library. In consultation with staff across the Library, Mr. Ringwood sets priorities so that library resources are cataloged and made available for use by members of the Eastman community in a timely manner. He also collaborates with staff at the University of Rochester’s River Campus Libraries to improve discovery and access for music resources via Discover UR, the University’s library catalog. As Head of Public Services Mr. Ringwood manages Sibley’s reference, circulation, and interlibrary loan services, ensuring that these services operate efficiently and effectively. Mr. Ringwood is a member of the Music Library Association (MLA), the New York State-Ontario Chapter of MLA, and the Music OCLC Users Group. He currently serves as Coordinator of the NACO-Music Project and is a member of MLA’s Cataloging and Metadata Committee.
