Zheng Xie was born in Jilin, China, and began her piano studies at the age of
six. She is currently pursuing the Master of Music degree in Piano
Accompanying and Chamber Music with Dr. Andrew Harley at the Eastman
School of Music, where she holds a graduate assistantship in vocal and
instrumental accompaniment. Furthermore, she received a Master degree
from Shanghai Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor degree in Financial
Management from Central South University.


As a collaborative pianist, Zheng has worked with musicians from the
Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She has
participated in masterclasses with renowned artists including collaborative
pianist Hartmut Höll and baritone Mark Padmore in 2025. She has widely
performed in Shanghai Oriental Art Center and Shanghai Opera House. In
2023, she won the second prize at the Charleston International Music
Competition and The North International Music Competition. Her recent
performances include an American Art Song concert and a graduation
concert at the Concert Hall of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. In terms of
solo performance, Zheng won 1st Prize at the Yangtze River Piano
Competition and Shanghai Piano Open Competition.


Collaborating with Baritone Ashton Rapp at Eastman, Zheng was a finalist in
the 2026 Jesse Kneisel German Lieder competition.In addition, she was
admitted to SongFest with a full scholarship: SongFest Merit Award, the
Collaborative Piano Institute, and the Brevard Music Center in 2026. Besides,
as a recipient of first-class scholarships, she was nominated for the
Outstanding Graduate of SHCM in 2025.
