Braden Jones is a Tennessee-based musician with a passion for drums and the fire to share his songs with the world. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Tennessee. He is currently earning his Master’s degree of Music from the Eastman School of Music, where he serves as the Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Jazz Percussion Studio. Furthermore, Braden has continued his personal private instruction and has instructed at the School of Rock Knoxville, School of Rock Rochester, Knox Music Studios, and the Percussive Arts Academy.
Braden has manned the rhythm section of his bands Okay Karma and The Harbingers. He has played with artists like Gregory Tardy, Jon Hamar, Jack Roben, Eric Reed, Taber Gable, Bernell Jones, and Margherita Fava, where he has performed with Knoxville Jazz Orchestra and the sponsored concert series, NXT GEN and Jazz on the Square. He has also performed with Rica Chicha, which he performed with at the 2023 Big Ears Festival.
Most recently, Braden has performed with the Eastman Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Christine Jensen and has performed in small jazz ensembles coached by Gary Versace and Clay Jenkins. Braden also is an active member of the Eastman Gamelan Ensemble and Eastman Studio Orchestra.
