Tuition with lessons and two or more concurrent 17-week classes or ensembles (15% off): $429 per semester
This is a yearlong course divided into two semesters.

Theory 4 is a course in 19th-century harmonic practices including mixture, the Neapolitan chord, augmented sixth chords, and common tone chords; 19th-century processes of musical ambiguity; text-painting in German Lieder; larger forms, including ternary, rondo and sonata form.

Prerequisite: Aural Skills 3 and Theory 3

Co-requisite: Aural Skills 4
