Chamber Music Auditions 2023-2024

Chamber music auditions for new students outside of ECMS will take place on Saturday, September 9th from 6:30-9:30 PM in the Rettner Community Music Center in Messinger Hall. REGISTER FOR AN AUDITION HERE
Chamber music auditions for students within ECMS will take place during juries and exams in the spring of 2023. Please confirm with your private instructor that you would like to audition for chamber music, and you will select that you will audition for chamber music on your jury or exam form. Please note that sight reading will be required and your jury or exam will be recorded for the audition.

Requirements for Advanced Chamber Music Auditions:

Perform 2-3 of minutes of solo repertoire of your choice

Perform one 3 octave major and minor scale (Not C major)

Sight-reading will be required for all levels

Perform the required chamber music excerpt for your instrument below:

Piano – teacher recommendation required

Requirements for Intermediate Chamber Music Auditions:

Perform 2-3 minutes of any solo repertoire of your choice
