Ms. Evans grew up in Atlanta, GA where she performed in ACDA, All-State, Spivey Hall, and District Honor Choirs. She will be beginning her studies in for a DMA in Music Education at Eastman in Fall 2025. Prior, she taught four choirs and AP Music Theory at Warhill High School in Williamsburg, VA for 5 years. She has had students accepted in to the District VIII Honor Choir, All-Virginia Choir, Governor’s School for the Arts, VA Senior Honors Choir, and ACDA National Choir. Additionally, she was vocal director for the Spring Musical and functioned as Department Chair for Fine Arts for 3 years.

She received her undergraduate degree in Choral Music Education from the University of Kentucky. During her studies, she took private voice lessons and performed in the UK Opera Theatre, Lexington Philharmonic, Harrower Opera Summer Program, Northern Lights Music Festival, and numerous solo recitals. A member of the UK Chorale, UK Women’s Choir, UK Women’s Chamber Choir, and Female A Cappella Group Paws and Listen, she has toured in Chattanooga, Memphis, Michigan State, the Bahamas, and Spain.

Ms. Evans continued her studies at East Carolina University where she completed a Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance. There she taught Music Theory, Ear Training, Concert Choir, and Group Voice Class. She is most passionate about teaching the mechanics of the voice to any all people who enjoy singing. She believes that every person regardless of their self-perception has the ability to sing and sing with heart, and she hopes to carry this philosophy to ECMS and the Rochester community.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Evans loves to read specifically the Classics and British Victorian novels. She is an avid viewer of all British television especially if it comes on Masterpiece. She loves to cook and bakes a new recipe every week. Mostly, she loves to be outside enjoying nature especially if it is a crisp, fall day. ​
