The Eastman School of Music hosts a number of on campus events for prospective students each year. These events include the Upstate New York Music College Fair in collaboration with Ithaca College School of Music, Theatre, and Dance and The Juilliard School, and two Eastman Experience Days, open house events for high school students.

Fall Eastman Experience Day - October 5, 2026
High school students and their families are invited to attend this special open house event to meet with faculty, check out the campus, and have all of your questions answered.
During this full day interactive event, you can:
- Interact with Eastman faculty*
- Attend quick-fire presentations by Eastman Theory, Musicology, Music Education and Humanities scholars
- Observe ensemble rehearsals
- Tour the ESM campus
- Enjoy a meal in our Student Living Center
- Interact with current students
- Learn more about applying, scholarships and Dual Degree opportunities

Upstate New York Music College Fair - October 5, 2026
The Eastman School of Music, Ithaca College School of Music, Theatre, & Dance and The Juilliard School co-host the Upstate New York Music College Fair annually. This fair is designed for students who are interested in music and the arts. Attendees can meet admissions representatives to learn about top colleges, universities, gap-year programs and summer music festivals from across the U.S. and beyond. Students, parents, and teachers are all welcome!
Advanced registration is not required, but we would be happy to know that you are planning to attend:

Directions and Parking
Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre is located at 60 Gibbs St. in downtown Rochester, on the corner of Main St. (Please note that Gibbs St. is a one-way street, accessible only from East Ave.)
Parking for all Eastman School concerts and events is available in the East End Garage (accessible from East Main St. in either direction and, via East Ave., Scio and Swan Streets), at a number of nearby lots, and on the street.
The Eastman School of Music has its own compact campus located in the East End of downtown Rochester, about three miles from the University of Rochester’s main campus (River Campus). Eastman School of Music is about a 20-minute drive from the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) and about 15 minutes from the Rochester International Airport. Geographically, Rochester is 350 miles from New York City, 75 miles from Niagara Falls, and just a few miles from the beautiful Finger Lakes area of upstate New York; the city of Toronto, Canada is a three-hour drive away.
