Jonah Kulick is a first-year master’s student returning to his hometown of Rochester, NY, to pursue a degree in saxophone performance and literature. Jonah is the current alto chair in the Citrine Quartet, an award-winning saxophone quartet based in Ann Arbor, MI. Citrine has been recognized with the First Prize from the Briggs Chamber Music Competition and was a recipient of the Lift Every Voice Prize alongside a Bronze Medal from the 53rd Annual Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. They also shared a proposal at the 2026 U.S. Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium.

Jonah has participated in numerous competitions, advancing to semifinal rounds in the NASA Solo Competition, NASA Saxophone Quartet Competition, and MTNA Quartet Competition. Jonah has also appeared in masterclasses led by Arno Bornkamp, Makoto Hondo, Stephen Page, Kenneth Radnofsky, the Ellipsos Saxophone Quartet, among others. He has performed as a guest artist with the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra and the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, and as the tenor chair of the former Blue Quartet, he was a featured artist-in-residence throughout Interlochen Public Radio’s Sound Garden Project, alongside Fivemind Reed Quintet and PULSE Saxophone Quartet.

Jonah holds a bachelor’s degree in saxophone performance, summa cum laude, from the University of Michigan, where he studied under Dr. Timothy McAllister. He also currently holds a teaching position at the Eastman Community Music School, from which he was awarded a precollegiate diploma with honors.
