STUDENT PROFILE
From Saratoga, California, Dylan Huang is a first-year student at the Eastman School of Music, pursuing a degree in Saxophone Performance under Professor Chien-Kwan Lin. He has been playing the saxophone for seven years.
Dylan has been selected to participate in numerous honor ensembles such as the CASMEC All-State Wind Symphony and the Music for All Honor Band of America. Furthermore, he has also advanced in numerous competitions such as the NASA High School Solo Competition, MTNA Senior Woodwind Competition, and the New Millennium Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition. In 2026, Dylan was selected as the recipient of the John Philip Sousa Award, a nationally recognized award commending one’s musical ability and achievement. Throughout high school, Dylan has studied with Dr. Michael Hernandez of San Jose State University.
