BIOGRAPHY

Charlotte Marcy has a master’s degree in marketing and business from ESC Lille, France, and a Marketing Certificate from North Carolina State University, Raleigh. Charlotte moved to the United States with her family about twenty years ago, after a successful career in the fashion industry in France, where she was in charge of designing a line of women outdoor pieces and managing its manufacturing. In France she worked for INDIGO in Lille, designers’ exhibition for the home decoration and fashion industry, from 1985 to 1988; as a product manager assistant for Rodier in Paris from 1987-1988; and as purchasing manager and product manager for Camaieu, a women’s clothing chain store, from 1988 to 1995.

Charlotte has been a translator since 1995 and is the owner of French Territories Translation Services in Rochester, working for the French and French Canadian markets, specializing in IT systems interfaces and documentation, marketing and business, fashion and textiles, and education. Charlotte certified in 2012 to teach Kundalini Yoga and has obtained her Personal and Professional Life Coaching (PPCC) certification in 2016 through the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Since 2005 Charlotte Marcy has been an adjunct professor of French at Monroe Community College, and she joined the Eastman School of Music faculty first in 2015 and 2016, returning in 2018.
