This class will encourage piano students to become well rounded musicians. “Playing the piano collaboratively is an organic and natural extension of being a pianist.” Pianists will learn the essential skills they need to become better performance partners. Students learn through collaboration with their fellow students in the vocal and instrumental areas, in a class setting with individual coaching.

Topics include: Basic ensemble issues, sight reading, quick study, transposition, collaborative repertoire, piano, ensemble (4 hands/2 pianos), rehearsal techniques, and professional behavior. The class will culminate in a class recital at the end of each semester.
