Congratulations to the Suen-Kam Guitar Duo, founded in 2019 by Kenneth Kam ’20E (MM), ’25E (DMA) and Shiuen-Huang Suen ’00E (MM), ’04E (DMA), for recently completing a concert and teaching tour across North and South Carolina, performing and giving masterclasses at Wofford College, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spartanburg, Winston-Salem Suzuki School, Weaver Academy for Performing and Visual Arts, and Arendell Parrott Academy. During their tour, they celebrated the release of their debut album, Between Strings, a collection of duo and solo works spanning the 17th to 20th centuries, featuring recordings reflective of their shared Eastman training and artistic collaboration. Kenneth and Shiuen earned their Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from Eastman.
Between Strings was independently released on a custom-made guitar-shaped USB drive.
