Originally hailing from Memphis, TN, Nick Culver recently served as Fourth Horn of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra (2022-2024) while also working with the Israeli Opera, Jerusalem Street Orchestra, and other ensembles throughout Israel. Since returning to the US, he has freelanced with the Rochester Philharmonic, Canton Symphony, Detroit Opera, and the Dayton Philharmonic. Nick earned his Master’s in Horn Performance at Bowling Green State University and has received a Bachelor’s in Horn Performance from Michigan State University. His primary teachers have included Peter Kurau, Michael Slatkin, Andrew Pelletier, Corbin Wagner, Aaron Brant, Leander Star, and Dan Vidican. Outside of the horn, Nick enjoys streaming TV and movies, watching sports, playing video games, and keeping up with current affairs, trends, and cultural shifts within music and other broad topics in the world.
