Three Eastman students from the studios of Marina Lomazov and Joseph Rackers were recognized at this year’s New York State Music Teachers National Association Competition. DMA candidate Matthew Figel ’19E, ’22E (MM) won first place in the Young Artist Performance Piano competition, while Master of Music student Ashley Lee placed second and Master of Music student Jiaxi Li ’24E received honorable mention.
