Sam Wood
STUDENT PROFILE
Sam Wood is a horn player from the Dallas–Fort Worth area currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music at the Eastman School of Music, where he studies with Peter Kurau. He is a frequent substitute horn player with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Syracuse Orchestra. He has been a part of several summer festivals such as NYO-USA and the Taipei Music Academy Festival. In high school he was Principal horn of the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra. In addition to his orchestral work, Sam has studied with leading principal horn players including Gerry Wood, Jacek Muzyk, and Erik Ralske. In his downtime, Sam enjoys playing and watching sports such as baseball and football.
