Emily Groenenboom is a horn player from Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Horn Performance and Literature at Eastman under W. Peter Kurau.

Emily completed her bachelor’s degree at DePaul University, where she majored in horn performance and minored in graphic design. At DePaul, she studied under Jim Smelser and Oto Carrillo of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Neil Kimel of the Lyric Opera Orchestra. While in high school, she studied with Paul Austin of the Grand Rapids Symphony.  Emily has performed with various Eastman and DePaul ensembles, the Battle Creek Symphony, and the Intermezzi Ensemble.

Outside of music, Emily enjoys reading, hiking, biking, and spending time with her cat, Leo.
