Congratulations to Zoë Johnstone Stewart ’01E, ’01 for being appointed Executive Director of the Guitar Foundation of America, where she has served on the Board of Trustees for the past five years. A distinguished performer, educator, and arts administrator, Zoë has performed extensively throughout the northeast United States as both a soloist and collaborator in various chamber groups, and is a founding member of the Atlantic Guitar Quartet. She currently serves as Chair of the Preparatory Guitar Department at the Peabody Institute and is also on the faculty of the Peabody Conservatory, teaching the Guitar Pedagogy course for graduate and undergraduate students. Zoë received two degrees from the University of Rochester, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English from the College of Arts and Sciences and a Bachelor of Music in guitar performance from Eastman with an Arts Leadership Certificate of Achievement (ALP).
