STUDENT PROFILE
Kelsy Morrison (she/her) is a second-year Ph.D. student in Musicology at the Eastman School of Music. She holds an M.A. in German Translation from Kent State University, where she also earned B.A. degrees in Music and German (with minors in Classics and Ancient, Medieval, and Renaissance Studies). Her research interests center broadly around women in German-speaking lands: the representation of women in medieval German Minnesang and the music of Romantic German composers Emilie Mayer and Mathilde Kralik von Meyrswalden. Kelsy is serving on the Eastman Graduate Musicology Association board for the 2025-26 academic year and works at the Sibley Music Library. When not ensconced in her books, Kelsy has been enjoying learning to play the alphorn.
