Congratulations to orchestral conducting alumnus Austin Chanu ’21E (MM), ’25E (DMA) for being named as the new Music Director of the Syracuse Orchestra after a two-year search! Hailed as “one of the great talents in the USA at the moment” by Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Austin most recently served as assistant conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
