Athena Zhang is a freshman at Eastman School of Music, double majoring in Composition and Organ Performance with Prof. David Higgs. 

In 2024, she was a finalist for the East Carolina Music & Art Education Fund Organ Competition and L. Cameron Johnson Memorial Organ Competition.

Athena has also received several scholarships, such as the Boston Young Organist Initiative Scholarship, the Methuen Memorial Music Hall Scholarship, and the Timothy G. Taylor Scholarship in 2025. Additionally, she interned at C. B. Fisk in the summer of 2025.

She is a 2025 graduate of Phillips Academy Andover. Previous organ teachers include Dr. Siegfried, Mrs. Mulhern, and Mr. Scanlon.
