Junqi Yang, from Shenzhen, China, began her piano studies at the age of five. She ranked first among piano students in the Guangdong Provincial Unified Music Examination and was admitted in 2022 with a full scholarship to the School of Music at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen), where she earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance, studying with Dr. Edoardo Turbil.

During her undergraduate studies, she served as a teaching assistant for the Piano Literature course and as a rehearsal pianist for the Opera Workshop. She also frequently participated as a collaborative pianist in her classmates’ recitals and jury exams. She has performed with chamber ensembles in multiple provinces across China, with appearances at the Shenzhen Concert Hall, Guangxi Arts Center and Jiangxi Arts Center.

Currently, she is pursuing the Master of Music degree in Piano Accompanying and Chamber Music with Dr. Andrew Harley at the Eastman School of Music, where she holds a graduate assistantship in vocal and instrumental accompanying.
