Piano Accompanying
Zheng Xie was born in Jilin, China, and began her piano studies at the age of six. She is currently pursuing the Master of Music degree in Piano Accompanying and Chamber Music with Dr. Andrew Harley at the Eastman School of Music, where she holds a graduate assistantship in vocal and instrumental accompanying. In addition to her piano studies, she received a Bachelor degree in Financial Management from Central South University.Â
As a collaborative pianist, Zheng has worked with musicians from the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She has widely performed in Shanghai Oriental Art Center and Shangyin Opera House. In 2023, she won the second prize at the Charleston International Music Competition and The North International Music Competition. Her recent performances include an American Art Song concert and a graduation concert at the Concert Hall of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. In terms of solo performance, Zheng won 1st Prize at the Yangtze River Piano Competition and Shanghai Piano Open Competition. In addition, she was an outstanding graduate of SHCM and won the first-class scholarship. In 2024, she was admitted to SongFest, the Collaborative Piano Institute, and the Brevard Music Center.
