Piano Accompanying
Chenyu Liu was born in China, and began her piano studies at the age of five. In 2019 she entered the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and immediately began to collaborate with vocalists in the voice training class. Three years later, she completed her undergraduate studies one year ahead of schedule receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. She subsequently went to Saint Petersburg in Russia and lived there for two years, studying solo repertoire with Ziyi Chen, chamber music with Elizabeth Ukrainskaya, and vocal accompaniment with Svetlana Konnova. In addition to her private studies, she also actively participated in numerous public master classes, given by such distinguished artists as Igor Roma, Andrea Gallo, and Guildyuk Yuri. Chenyu is currently pursuing the degree of Master of Music in Piano Accompanying and Chamber Music with Dr. Andrew Harley at the Eastman School of Music, where she holds a graduate assistantship in vocal and instrumental accompanying.Â
