Oliver Lear
CURRENT STUDENT PROFILE
Oliver Lear comes from Lafayette, Louisiana, where he began his piano studies at age six with Sue Anne-Steck Turner. He earned his Bachelor of Music in organ performance from Northwestern State University of Louisiana in 2021, under the instruction of Mary DeVille. In the Spring of 2021, Oliver was the first graduate student to be awarded the new Salisbury Scholarship by the American Guild of Organists. He is currently a second-year student at the Eastman School of Music where he is earning his Master of Music in organ performance and literature under the instruction of David Higgs.
