Piano Accompanying
Xi Huang was born in China and began studying piano and voice at an early age. In 2023, she graduated from the Eastman School of Music with her MM degree in Piano Accompanying and Chamber Music. She is currently pursuing her DMA degree in Piano Accompanying and Chamber Music, continuing her studies with Dr. Andrew Harley. She is the recipient of the Brooks Smith Scholarship and holds graduate assistantships in vocal and instrumental accompanying as well as an assistantship with the Eastman Opera Theatre.
As a recipient of the Changjiang Piano Scholarship, Xi has participated in many solo recitals and competitions. She also works as a collaborative pianist and participates in numerous concerts, tours, competitions, and recordings. In 2018, she won 1st place in the National College Students Cultural Competition as the collaborative pianist for the ZJU Wenqin chorus. In 2019, she was invited to attend the Jinan International Choral Festival. In July of 2023, she participated in Toronto Summer Music Festival Chamber Music Institute as a piano fellow. In the summer of 2026, She attended Music Academy of the West Lehrer Vocal Institute as a vocal piano fellow.
