Piano Accompanying
Ziqian Guo, originally from Nanjing, Jiangsu, China, is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Piano Accompanying and Chamber Music with Dr. Andrew Harley at the Eastman School of Music, where she holds a graduate assistantship in vocal and instrumental accompanying. She began studying piano at the age of four and was ranked first in the music category of Jiangsu Province’s college entrance examination. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing.
Ziqian’s earliest collaborative experience began as a pianist for her high school choir, where she discovered her passion for ensemble playing. During her undergraduate studies at the Central Conservatory of Music, she actively collaborated with both instrumentalists and vocalists, performing in a variety of recital settings including undergraduate and graduate degree recitals, all held in the Conservatory’s recital halls. She served as pianist for a public opera masterclass presented at the Conservatory and performed four-hand repertoire of Dvořák’s in a special event in Jiangsu Province. She looks forward to deepening her collaborative artistry in both instrumental and vocal repertoire during her time at Eastman.
