Alex Durr is a first year M.A. in Musicology Student from Chappaqua, New York. He graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia in 2025 with a BA in English and Minors in Music, Film Studies, and Communications. Alex was closely involved with the Classical Guitar Society at Fredonia, alongside being a Resident Assistant for three years. During his undergraduate program, he conducted a research seminar in the Stephan Zweig archives at Fredonia, studying his relationship with politics and music. Alex’s research interests are in Pop Music from the 60s and 70s, the recording studio as an instrument, and Post-Modernism in the 20th and 21st century.
