The new season of Eastman School of Music’s Faculty Artist Series, supported by Patricia Ward-Baker, starts Wednesday, Aug. 31, with solo and chamber recitals of classical and jazz performances ranging from flute to trumpet and cello. The recitals give local music lovers the chance to hear the talented artists perform on their home turf during their busy schedules of frequent appearances across the world.
The 2016 performances will be held in the School’s acoustically superb Hatch Recital and Kilbourn Halls, where the variety of dates and times will make it possible to find recitals that fit into everyone’s schedule. Organ recitals will take place off-campus at various local churches. The 2017 performances will be announced later this fall.
Tickets to the Faculty Artist Series recitals are $10 general admission and are free to University of Rochester ID holders and current series subscribers. Tickets are available in person at the Eastman Theatre Box Office (433 East Main St.), online at www.EastmanTheatre.org, or by calling (585) 274-3000.
