Artist-Teacher of Voice – Soprano
The Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester invites applications for an Artist- Teacher of Voice, beginning in the fall semester of 2020. The successful candidate will be an exceptional soprano artist and pedagogue who will enhance our faculty and reflect the artist- teacher’s particular expertise or interest in subjects which might include lyric diction, vocal pedagogy and voice science or classical/ musical theater repertoire. Candidates at various stages of their careers are encouraged to apply. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. This is a tenure-eligible position with the expectation that the successful candidate will reside in Rochester.
Applicants must demonstrate experience and success in teaching. A deep commitment to effective instruction, to mentoring students in their professional development, to recruiting high- caliber voice students, and to broadening participation among members of under-represented groups is required.
