Lisa Seischab Appointed Executive Director of Advancement at the Eastman School of Music

The Eastman School of Music, at the University of Rochester, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Seischab ’90E as the new Executive Director of Advancement, effective October 20, 2025.
Lisa brings to this role a strong record of leadership and success in both non-profit arts and higher education. She is widely respected in the fields of music and philanthropy across the country and is deeply connected to the Rochester community. Her experience and dedication make her exceptionally well-positioned to support Eastman’s advancement goals and to play a pivotal role in the continued success of the For Ever Better campaign for Eastman.
Lisa earned a Bachelor of Music in Applied Bassoon from Eastman and graduated with honors from the Preparatory Department (now known as the Eastman Community Music School). She also holds a certificate in nonprofit studies from Johns Hopkins University.
Lisa previously held several leadership roles in Advancement at the University of Rochester, including a four-year term as Executive Director of Advancement at Eastman during the school’s prior campaign. She has also held fundraising positions at the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine and the University of Maryland. Over the past decade, Lisa served as the Vice President of Development for the George Eastman Museum in Rochester, where she led many successful efforts in fundraising, campaign management, board management, and special events.Â
A dedicated alumna, Lisa has remained an active member of the Eastman community—as a volunteer, mentor, and supporter—regularly attending concerts and events.
We look forward to welcoming Lisa back to Eastman and to the leadership she will bring in this important role.
