Information for Host Venues

“I shared with the musicians that the best part for me was that they spoke at a level that kids could understand, using vocabulary that they knew and relating to familiar music and characters (ie. Star Wars, Squidward, Peter and the Wolf, etc.)  This is tricky to navigate with guest performers who aren’t used to working with tiny learners, but the group nailed it and everyone was so pleased.”

Thank you for your interest in being a participating host for the Eastman School of Music’s Music For All program! To those of you who have benefitted from this program in the past, we’re happy to announce that it is back with full force!!! Since most students registered in Chamber Music in the Spring semester will perform in the community, a larger number of venues will have the opportunity to host Eastman musicians.

• September-October:  Music For All host venues’ contact spreadsheet updated. Please email Dr. Sylvie Beaudette at: sbeaudette@esm.rochester.edu if you’d like to be included on the Music For All host venues contact spreadsheet.
• End of October: Email to all possible hosts included on revised contact spreadsheets (schools & community) and invitation to fill out the Music For All host form.
• December 1: Deadline to submit host venues online form. Follow up with all venues re. audience needs, logistics. Site visits when needed.
• Beginning of February: Hosts and groups receive their “pairing” assignments.
• March: Music For All school performances. Survey sent to schools for feedback.
• April: Music For All community performances. Survey sent to hosts for feedback.
