The Eastman School of Music, in conjunction with Ithaca College and The Juilliard School, is presenting the seventh annual Music College Fair in Upstate New York at the Eastman School on Tuesday, Nov. 6th, from 5 to 7 p.m.
High school and college students who are considering schools with programs in music will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with admissions representatives from approximately 70 of the top colleges, universities, conservatories, summer programs, festivals, and other pre-college educational institutions with specialized programs in music from across the United States.
A presentation and question-and-answer session on the college admissions process will be held at 3:30 p.m. that day in Hatch Recital Hall.
In addition to the Eastman School, Ithaca College, and The Juilliard School, other institutions who will be represented at this event include Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music, Carnegie Mellon School of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, Houghton College, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Interlochen Center for the Arts, San Francisco Conservatory of Music; SUNY Potsdam; Syracuse University College of Visual & Performing Arts; University of Miami Frost School of Music; University of Michigan School of Music, Theater & Dance; Yale School of Music; and many others.
Admission is free and there is no need for attendees to register, although any attendees with special needs are encouraged to contact the Eastman School’s Office of Admission in advance at 585-274-1060.
