Amy Likar is a member of the Oakland East Bay Symphony. As a freelance flutist, Dr. Likar has performed with the Berkeley Symphony, Festival Opera and for the Oakland Ballet, as well as in numerous chamber music venues.

Dr. Likar holds Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor's in Music Education and Flute Performance from Kent State University. She has also studied at the Conservatoire National de Nice, France. Her flute teachers include Martha Aarons and Katherine Borst Jones. Dr. Likar has taught at The Ohio State University and Ashland University.

Amy Likar has studied the Alexander Technique for over 16 years and received her AmSAT certification and training from the Alexander Training Institute of San Francisco in 2002. As a certified Andover Educator, Dr. Likar has presented "What Every Musician Needs to Know About the Body" at The Ohio State University, Ashland University, Youngstown State University, The University of Akron, Kent State University, the Juilliard School, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and other venues across the US and Europe.

Dr. Likar has presented at numerous conferences including National Flute Association Conventions, Performing Arts Medicine Association Symposiums, and a MTNA Conference.
