The last page of the manuscript features an exquisite Guidonian hand, devised by theorist Guido d\u2019Arezzo to propagate a method of sight-singing with the six syllables ut, re, mi, fa, sol, and la.<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_1_1-11-49\" class=\"sr7-layer\">Admont-Rochester Codex<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_1_1-11-50\" class=\"sr7-layer\">Manuscript (ca. 1103)<\/sr7-txt>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/sr7-slide>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-slide id=\"SR7_1_1-12\" data-key=\"12\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-bg id=\"SR7_1_1-12-52\" class=\"sr7-layer\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esm.rochester.edu\/sibley\/files\/revslider\/sibleyhome\/SibleyLibrary_WebSliders_DeBussy.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"SibleyLibrary_WebSliders_DeBussy.jpg\"><\/noscript><\/sr7-bg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<sr7-txt id=\"SR7_1_1-12-48\" class=\"sr7-layer\">This magnificent manuscript is the Sibley Music Library\u2019s single most celebrated holding, and one of only three extant manuscript sources of this celebrated composition (1905).
