Rick McRae chiefly catalogs all Eastman-related materials (dissertations, concert\/recital recordings). He also offers reference assistance (email, phone, or occasionally on duty at the reference desk). In addition, he authors several Sibley Library research guides. A professional librarian since 1989, he is a member of the Music Library Association and its New York\/Ontario Chapter, and has given presentations over the years to both. He has contributed to all 3 volumes of A Basic Music Library, 4th ed. (jazz, Latin and Sub-Saharan African popular musics, trombone repertoire). Among his fortes are local music history, opera, jazz, contemporary music, and music and politics.<\/p>\n
