EROI 2006: Aspects of Organ Building in the Twentieth Century (Featuring the Work of Ernest M. Skinner and John Brombaugh)
October 12-15, 2006

Celebrating the legacy of great American organ builders, the 2006 EROI Festival kicked off renovations on the E. M. Skinner Organ housed in the Eastman School of Music’s Kilbourn Hall. Master organ builder John Brombaugh was invited as a guest speaker to usher in the new project. EROI 2006 featured presentations and public concerts, including a keynote address by Eastman alumna Orpha Ochse; a discussion of E. M. Skinner by Barbara Owen; a joint recital by Hans Davidsson, David Higgs, and William Porter on the John Brombaugh organ at Sacred Heart Cathedral; and a performance by Francesco Cera on the Italian Baroque Organ at the Memorial Art Gallery in downtown Rochester.
