Eastman Horn Choir presents a concert in honor of St. Hubert this evening

Tonight at 7:00PM, the Eastman Horn Choir will be presenting a concert in Hatch Recital Hall at the Eastman School of Music in honor of St. Hubert, the patron saint of hunters, who lived from c. 656 AD to 727 AD. Much of modern horn repertoire is derived from or suggestive of music from the hunt, and the Eastman Horn Choir celebrates the Feast Day of St. Hubert (traditionally November 3) with this special concert.  Small ensembles drawn from the larger Horn Choir will perform hunt-influenced works composed by Jan Bach, Eugène Bozza, Karl Steigler, Rudolf Huber, Ludwig van Beethoven, W.A. Mozart, and others.
