Printers Were down Intermittently September 15 from 11:30 AM – 5 PM

September 15, 2014

Update: The printers up and running. The following is for historical purposes only.

What is the best thing about Fall? Isn’t it the change in color the leaves experience? As if literally on fire, they dramatically transform from lush verdant greens, to fiery reds and blazing yellow hues. While the leaves have yet to change, our Fall semester in the Eastman Media Lab and across campus, is host to some dramatic changes as well. Though far from the beauty of falling flora, our print system is in the midst of some changes that, if not taken care of immediately, would produce an ugliness that transcends even the plastic that encases them.

Our current print system is failing and before it passes away, it is being replaced by another more robust arrangement. That means throughout the day, in various areas, you may not be able to print as you normally would have. Please, pardon the inconvenience as we, along with Eastman Computing and University IT try to make this disruption as brief as possible.

The areas affected are:

  1. Eastman Media Lab
  2. Cave
  3. Sibley

Again, thank you for your patience and we hope to have a new system in place quickly so that all of us can spend less time inside and more in the natural wonders now and yet to come.
