With a voice that has been described as \u201cClarion, metallic and alive\u2026\u201d in Classical Voice Magazine, Gino has sung on the stages of North America and Europe. Noted operatic appearances include Il Conte Almaviva in\u00a0<em>Le Nozze di Figaro<\/em>\u00a0(Canadian Opera Company), Valentin in\u00a0<em>Faust\u00a0<\/em>(Cleveland Opera) and title roles in\u00a0<em>Pell\u00e9as et M\u00e9lisande\u00a0<\/em>(Cincinnati Opera),<em>\u00a0Eugene Onegin\u00a0<\/em>(Opera North) and\u00a0<em>Hamlet\u00a0<\/em>(Opera in the Heights). Recently, as he pursues his Doctor of Musical Arts at The Eastman School of Music where he studies under Robert Swensen, he appeared as Marquis de la Force in\u00a0<em>Les Dialogues des Carmelites\u00a0<\/em>under Timothy Long. Other notable operatic appearances include Balstrode in\u00a0<em>Peter Grimes<\/em>, Schaunard in\u00a0<em>La Boh\u00e8me<\/em>, Dandini in\u00a0<em>La Cenerentola<\/em>, Sid in\u00a0<em>Albert Herring<\/em>\u00a0and the title role in Handel\u2019s\u00a0<em>Giulio Cesare\u00a0<\/em>at the Salzburger Festspielhaus<em>.\u00a0<\/em>Recent concert appearances include the soloist in Handel\u2019s\u00a0<em>Messiah\u00a0<\/em>(Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus and Orchestra), Brahms\u2019s\u00a0<em>Ein Deutches Requiem<\/em>\u00a0(Cleveland Symphony) and Barber\u2019s\u00a0<em>Dover Beach<\/em>\u00a0at the Eastman School of Music. This season, he presents a recital in Hatch Hall that includes the rarely heard masterwork,\u00a0<em>Songs and Dances of Death<\/em>\u00a0by Mussorgsky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gino has also dedicated his life to serving his community as an exemplary voice teacher, keeping a private studio for over 15 years, as well as voice studios at the Rochester Institute of Technology and the University of Rochester. Passionate about the Bel Canto school of singing, his philosophy is guided by a thorough, mechanical and scientific understanding of the voice and its development. His students have garnered full scholarships at top music conservatories, won national&nbsp;and domestic vocal competitions and starred on Broadway, at regional opera houses and theatre.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He holds degrees from The Crane School of Music at the State University of New York at Potsdam, The Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati and the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester.
