Janet Milnes<\/strong> (Violin, String Chamber Music Coordinator, String Department Chair) has been heard frequently by Rochester audiences, collaborating with some of the area’s finest chamber musicians. Before coming to Rochester, she was a member of the Mallarm\u00e9 Chamber Players, and performed with the Ciompi Quartet of Duke University. She has also performed with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Rochester Chamber Orchestra, and the Greensboro, Savannah and North Carolina Symphonies, Lake Placid Chamber Orchestra, Lancaster Festival Orchestra and Cayuga Chamber Orchestra. Ms. Milnes has served on the faculties of the Duke University String School and Hochstein School of Music and Dance, and has been on the faculty of the Eastman Community Music School since 1987. Her undergraduate studies were at Manhattan School of Music with Raphael Bronstein and Burton Kaplan and post-graduate studies with Bernard Goldschmidt, David Cerone, and Burton Kaplan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
