Adventure Music Camp
<\/strong>1-week day camp
July 28 \u2013 August 1, 2025, Monday \u2013 Friday \/ 9am \u2013 4pm 
Location: Eastman School of Music
Age: entering grades 5-9<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spend a week at Eastman making music with people just like you- who love playing, learning, and creating, all in a supportive and fun environment. This is an exciting day camp (commuting students) for students entering grades 5-9 (current grades 4-8). After a brief orientation on Sunday afternoon, we meet daily, Monday through Friday, from 9am \u2013 4pm with activities that include ensemble rehearsals (band and string orchestra), music and movement, percussion (for all), and World Music. On our final day, we will share the results of our adventures to friends and family in a performance!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Performance: <\/strong>Friday August 1, 2025 \/ 3:30pm \/ Kilbourn Hall<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This program is for students entering grades 5-9 that have at least two years\u2019 experience on their instrument and are playing at a NYSSMA level 2 or Suzuki book 2 or higher. A teacher\u2019s letter of recommendation is part of the application so that appropriate music can be selected for the ensembles. No audition necessary. What is required? A great attitude and a desire to explore the world of music!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instruments accepted are bowed strings, winds, brass, and percussion.
Not included this year are voice, piano, guitar, or harp.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuition: <\/strong>$430
\u2013Please note that payment is not due at the time of registration. The student will be billed.<\/em>
\u2013Also note that housing and meals are not included\/available. Students should pack a lunch every day (refrigeration not provided), and students from other states or countries will need to secure their own housing.
