Rachel Sanguinetti Hayes

Rachael Sanguinetti Hayes is a passionate educator and performer who settled in Rochester almost 10 years ago. Originally hailing from Vermont, she came to Rochester to pursue a degree and has never left.

She earned her bachelors degree at the Eastman School of Music in 2015 where she majored in Music Education with a focus in voice and Musical Arts with a focus in Arts Criticism and the future of classical music. She also minored in Social Psychology and completed an Arts Leadership Certificate. She then went on to earn a Masters Degree at Ithaca College in 2018 with a focus in Secondary General Education and Popular Music. Since then she has been invited to present at multiple conferences across the US and has completed research studies on the subject. She also maintains an active performance career as a soprano, performing across the northeast in numerous productions and as a soloist.

She has been a full time faculty member at Allendale Columbia School in Pittsford for five years. At Allendale Columbia, she teaches chorus for grades 4-8, general music for grades 6-8, voice lessons, and music electives including Ukulele, Songwriting, Voice Class, and Rock Band. She loves working with students of all ages to pursue their own musical interests, to find their passions, and to make music with others.
