Patrick Dugan is a bassist originally from Chicago. He is currently a graduate student at the Eastman School of Music, where he studies with Prof. James VanDemark and teaches secondary lessons. He previously attended the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, where he worked with Bruce Bransby, Jeffrey Turner, and Lawrence Hurst. In addition to his obligations at Eastman, Patrick is also the principal bass of the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes, a position he has held since the autumn of 2019. He is interested in music both ancient and modern and has performed in ensembles dedicated to new music and historically informed performance.
